Achieving self-control that keeps one from committing what is unlawful is one of the Islamic Law’s objectives. Taming unbridled selfishness is achieved by moral, spiritual training as well as by applying the rulings of the Islamic Law in society. The Call’ s moral and spiritual mission coupled with the State’ s implementation of God’s Law are respectively the hands of love and firmness extended to our ummah, lost between the injustice of rulers and the betrayal of their hired religious scholars.
