After the Earthquake in Morocco, an Unprecedented Solidarity
We continue to closely follow the news of the deadly earthquake that struck Morocco on the night of September 8th. While rescue teams continue to search for people buried under the rubble, hoping to find survivors, the generous and helpful Moroccan people are showing unprecedented solidarity. Indeed, associations, organizations, and volunteers are actively working in several regions of the country to assist the affected villages. People of all ages are mobilizing and collecting essential food and supplies with open hearts from all corners of the country and abroad, to send them in trailers to the grieving villages for distribution to the survivors, many of whom are now homeless.
Images and videos of this beautiful solidarity are circulating widely on social networks, demonstrating that Moroccans have shown love, solidarity, and humanity at a time when the country needs it the most.
