Emigration for the sake of God and His Messenger consisted in leaving one’s homeland in the lifetime of the Prophet (God’s blessings and peace be upon him). Now, emigration is symbolic and consists in leaving the ideals, values, ethics, and lifestyle of jahiliya and fitna to embrace those of Islam.
