Chapter 1 [al-Fātiha]

– Ubay ibn Ka’b (God be pleased with him) reported that God’s Messenger (God bless him and grant him peace) said: “God has not revealed neither in the Torah nor in the Gospel [a chapter] similar to the Mother of the Qur’ān [that is, al-Fātiha]. It is the Seven Oft-Repeated Verses.” Hadith narrated by at-Tirmidhi, an-Nassā’i, and al-Hākim (God have mercy upon them).

– Sa’īd ibn al-Mu’alli (God be pleased with him) reported that God’s Messenger (God bless him and grant him peace) said: “The most glorious chapter in the Qur’ān is ‘Praise be to God, the Lord of all creatures [that is, al-Fātiha].’” Hadith narrated by al-Bukhāri (God have mercy upon him).
