Symposium On the Book My Last Testament by Imam Yassine
This academic symposium is held in celebration of the new Malay translation of the book My Last Testament (wasiyyati) by Imam Abdessalam Yassine, may God have mercy on him, and in recognition of its educational, cultural, and civilizational meanings now opening to a new audience in Southeast Asia. Despite its small size, this book represents the essence of the Imam’s spiritual and intellectual experience—his comprehensive testament that encapsulates his methodology in creed, spiritual education, selfpurification, reviving the Ummah’s mission, and grounding Qur’anic and Prophetic values in the lives of Muslims. This symposium is organized through collaboration between the North American Foundation for Islamic Services (NAFIS) and the Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM). It brings together scholars from Malaysia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Morocco, giving the event a rich academic diversity and a broad, global perspective.
